Over the years I have heard of natural/diy laundry soap, actually a few years ago I stopped buying traditional soap and started making my own ( which I still do) , I loved how I knew the ingredients, I made a large quantity , it lasted a long time and saved us a ton of money.
When my sweet friend Kristina over at Joyfully Smitten / Revelation Essentials introduced me to Young Living ( properly – I knew about Young Living but she properly introduced me) The first thing I was really interested in was the household items that Young Living had. I was intrigued by the laundry detergent, and shocked at the price, yet I still wanted to try it. ( crazy I know coming from a price conscious person)
When it came to buying my kit to sign up as a member , I added the Laundry detergent,- YES I was willing to spend the $28.00 member price tag for what seemed and is a smaller bottle then usual laundry soap. WHY?!!Because I could, because it is made with essential oils that are pure and with natural ingredients and its more concentrated – meaning you are going to use LESS. Plus I wanted to see if it really worked.
“The bottle was small, like seriously, Im going to go through this so quickly! AND I just paid $30.00 bucks for this. I dont know….”
“Hmmmm…smells nice, well does it clean?”
After using it for a month:
SHOCK, it smells great, seems to clean my clothes just fine, just as good if not probably better and I like how it leaves a light scent of the Thieves essential oil scent on my clothes. I notice no change in my clothing color and can you believe it? I AM JUST GETTING TO A HALF BOTTLE!!! Yes, I thought I was going to go through it so quick, and I guess if you are doing laundry constantly , maybe you will. We do clothes weekly and you actually use about 1/4 cap for HE washer and 1/2 cap for conventional ones, doing a large load? use more . Its also 6x more concentrated which is great. Needless to say I am happier when I am washing my clothes, I know I am using something that is better for us and less chemicals. Yes its more costly then the traditional laundry soap, yet the ingredients are more simple, and compared to me making my own, the member costs comes out about the same as I would spend on ingredients for my own diy soap ( how long each one last compared to the other is left to be unseen – yet I think my powder would last longer yet the ingredients in Thieves soap is more natural)
Why its so good:
First off if for some reason, you wanted drink some of this stuff, no need to call poison control, simply drink plenty of water to dilute. ( you read that right)
No chemical stuff and safe to use for the whole family.
So whats its in it? – Essential oils. Oh yes please
Water, Decyl glucoside, Sodium oleate, Glycerin, Caprylyl glucoside, Lauryl glucoside, Sodium chloride, Sodium gluconate, Carboxymethyl cellulose, Alpha-amylase, Protease, Lipase, Citrus Limon† (Jade lemon) peel oil, Citrus aurantium bergamia† (Bergamot) peel oil (Furocoumarin-free), Syzygium aromaticum† (Clove) bud oil, Citrus limon† (Lemon) peel oil, Cinnamomum zeylanicum† (Cinnamon) bark oil, Eucalyptus radiata† oil, Rosmarinus officinalis† (Rosemary) leaf oil
†100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oil
But the cost is high! – Why should I splurge and buy it?
First off, some of the conventional laundry detergents cost almost the same, but seriously, in order to have a healthier home for you and your family, for that peace of mind of KNOWING the ingredients in your day to day products and not worried if your little one spills on themselves, ingests it, or it gets on your hand or clothes, sometimes a healthier home does costs more. You have to decide if your home and family is worth it.
How do I buy it?
Easily, you can go here to purchase, but you would pay the full price, if you are really interested in having a chemical free home feel free to email me so I can tell you how to get the member discount to more chemical free products from the Young Living Thieves line , or if you are ready to take the plunge go here to get started on making your home chemical free .
So what are your thoughts ? Have you used this? What are your thoughts?
